What Travelers Say

"Travelers like us have great difficulty finding a place to stay, either because the accommodation market is a little behind or we are ahead. It offers:
  • Hotels with per night charges
  • B&Bs and lodges - still expensive for us. Then there's a GAP if you are staying 2-3 months or more in a country - virtually nothing is advertised for a reasonable price.
  • General renting - prices are good, but signing for a minimum 1 year lease, paying a letting fee and damage deposit, plus the places are mostly unfurnished!
Meantime I see that more and more professional people do work traveling like us, thanks to the Internet's fast development. It wasn't possible 10 years ago, but now so many professionals can work from any place where there's Internet access, i.e. IT guys, editors, testers, accountants...you name it.

Basically, if you don't need to meet customers and don't have dependent kids or cats, you don't have to wait till retirement to travel. I just got a letter from a European animation artist who is traveling and working at the same time like us. He is now in Japan and asked my advice where he can find a place for 2 months there, as he knows we managed to avoid "key money" as they call it in Japan and leases.

This niche is empty now, and many people will be very thankful for this site. I realize this is HUGE marketing job. But as my grandma used to say: "The eyes are afraid to look, but the hands are already working."

Please ask all stay owners to mention Internet accessibility, pet friendly or not and monthly charge."
